It's a country pub with abar and bar stools so you can have a drink at the bar. Offers the wide range of beers on tap we have come to expect these days. Always some form of live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.The bistro offers a great choice of food at good prices. Good venue for a quiet drink with a friendly crowd.
An old hotel that has partly been done up. The bar is gorgeously almost original, with lots of locals at the window seats. I've stayed upstairs and yes it is original and the rooms are very small. I think they contained single beds originally but now have doubles. $80/n i thought was expensive.. My room had a sink at the end of the bed! The showers and toilets are down the hall and very clean. Get in early for hot water. The rooms back onto verandah which allowed smoking when i was there, which came into the open bedroom window. May have changed.
Love this place. Brilliant for sunny beers on the back deck. Great restaurant, friendly staff.
Really intimate place to catch some live music - saw Tex Perkins there awhile back. Restaurant to the back has good food but can be somewhat sporadic as far as timing of meals with an event. Sometimes food flies out of the kitchen other times waited over an hour for my main.
